Silver Spur Celebration

The College of the Canyons Foundation will honor Bruce Fortine with the 2020 Silver Spur Community Service Award for his longtime support of the college. The award is particularly significant as the college celebrates its 50th anniversary. A Santa Clarita Valley native, Fortine was elected to the college’s first Board of Trustees in 1967. His enthusiastic and unwavering support continues to this day.

Bruce Fortine has been a part of College of the Canyons since before its inception. And his support over the ensuing 50-plus years has been marked by singular dedication and relentless enthusiasm.
