Legal Studies is an interdisciplinary, liberal arts major that engages in the meanings, values, practices, and institutions of law and legality. The curriculum examines how law shapes and is shaped by political, economic, and cultural forces. The major is designed to stimulate critical understanding of and inquiry about the theoretical frameworks, historical dynamics, and cultural embeddedness of law.

- In growing career fields such as law, public administration and organizational management, a strong working knowledge of the legal/constitutional order is expected.
- A degree in legal studies provides the foundations necessary for success through courses that give you the theoretical, historical, social, and political foundations required to understand law in a democratic polity.
- Crucial components of this degree include research, critical thinking, and argumentation.

Complete an application at www.brandman.edu (Select “Santa Clarita Campus”). Application is completely free and available online. No application deadline, but it is highly recommended that students apply early in order to receive financial aid.

TranscriptsStudents need to submit all official transcripts from every college attended including AP test scores. Costs Undergraduate Tuition: $500 per unit. Technology Fee: $110 per session. Application Fee: Free. Graduation Fee $150.

Scholarships College of the Canyons students receive 10% off tution if they were enrolled at COC within the last year prior to enrollment at University of Massachusetts Global. Please complete the Scholorship Application.
Units Minimum 120 overall semester units required - of those, minimum 48 units will be taken at University of Massachusetts Global for this program, additional units may be completd in transfer. Concurrent enrollment atUMB and COC is allowed. Actual numbers may vary - see advisor.
