The Employment Center offers Employment Assistance and other Career Related Resources unique to Veterans:

  • Employment Assistance: Receive 1:1 support from a Veteran Job Developer to assist you in developing an Employment Action Plan and with making connections to employers that are seeking to hire veterans with your skillsets.
  • Resume Development: Our Veteran Job Developer assists you in translating your transferable military skills into civilian terms for greater marketability.
  • Online Job Board: Access to various online job boards catering towards veterans and/or part of the “hidden job market”
  • Networking: Assistance in developing a robust LinkedIn profile that can be used for growing your professional network to help you stand out, be found, connect and get hired!

Additional Services Beyond the Employment Center

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) at College of the Canyons guides veterans through the process to receive education benefits including priority registration. Call the VRC at (661) 362-3469 to schedule an appointment with either an Academic Counselor or a Wellness Counselor, or to register for the Education Benefits Orientation.
