Friday, August 15 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Valencia Campus!

Come to the Valencia Campus for a day filled with excitement and discovery. This event is the perfect opportunity for our new students to come to campus and explore our offerings. Prospective students can also come to learn more about us, as we showcase our various offerings to the community.

Attendees can dive into a wide range of college resources and programs, participate in engaging workshops, explore open labs and instructional spaces, and so much more! Plus, it's a fantastic chance for students to get hands-on assistance with enrolling. Don't miss out on the fun and the chance to start your journey with us!

Open Offices – Explore campus by visiting open offices. Stop by the listed departments and student services offices to meet the staff, ask questions, and learn about the resources available to support you. It’s a great way to get comfortable on campus and start building connections from day one.

Open Labs/Classrooms – Explore campus by visiting open classrooms and labs. Tour classrooms, meet instructors, and get a firsthand look at your learning environment. This event is a perfect opportunity to familiarize yourself with the inside of COC’s academic spaces and feel confident as you begin your college journey.

Campus Tours – Join our Campus Tours to explore the campus layout, discover key facilities, ask questions, and get a feel for student life at COC. Each tour is led by our knowledgeable student guides! Choose a full tour or a shorter route focused on locating your classes.

    • Will planners be available? A: Yes! Free COC planners will be available, while supplies last.
    • Do I need to RSVP? A: No, RSVP's are not necessary. Just come!
    • Can I have my COC student ID card made at Welcome Day? A: Yes! You'll be able to get your ID card made. However, if you can also have it made before or after during normal business hours with a valid student ID number.
    • Will the campus tour help me find my classes? A: Yes! The campus tour will help you determine the location of your Valencia on-campus classes.
    • What kind of workshops will be offered? A: The workshop schedule will be posted on this website the first week of August.
    • Where will Welcome Day be held? A: Welcome Day will be held in the Student Center and Canyons Hall on the Valencia Campus. We will be indoors to beat the heat! There will also be open labs, and workshops that will be held in select classrooms and lab spaces. Check back on this site during the first week of August for additional details.
    • Do I need to sign up or preregister for a workshop I'd like to attend? A: No, just show up!
    • Will Academic Advisors be there, to help me plan out which classes to take? A: Yes! We will have Academic Advisors available during Welcome Day.
    • Will the bookstore be open? A: Yes, the bookstore will be open.
    • Will there be clubs at Welcome Day? A: Yes, a few clubs will be present. You can also stop by the Associated Student Government (ASG) table and the Campus Life & Student Engagement table.
    • Do I need a parking pass for Welcome Day? A: No, you don't need a parking pass. Feel free to park in any student parking space.
