Complaint Process

If you have a complaint for College of the Canyons, you have several options. You may complete and submit the "Initiate Complaint" form below for a prompt response regarding your possible options and potential resolution. If you are a student, you may elect to file a grievance, the details of which are below. If you believe your complaint, grievance or issue has not been resolved satisfactorily, you may present your case to the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office or the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges/Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Student Grievances

College of the Canyons is committed to providing a prompt and equitable means for resolving student grievances. In the pursuit of academic goals, students should be free of unfair or improper action by any member of the academic community. If you are a student who believes a college decision or action has unjustly affected your status or privileges as a student, you may elect to pursue a grievance. We encourage you to review Board Policy 532 Student Grievances for a detailed description of the grievance process.

If you believe your issue has not been resolved, you may present your case to the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office or the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges/Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
