Community Education

Explore a new activity, upgrade an existing skill, and learn while you have fun!

At College of the Canyons Community Education we offer short-term classes and activities, easy registration, low fees and outstanding instructors.

The Community Education program offers non-credit, fee-based classes and activities designed to serve individuals with educational goals that do not require college credit. Community education classes are offered in addition to COCs credit program and are not academic equivalents or prerequisites of regular credit classes.

Course auditing is permitted as a service to students who have completed designated credit courses for the maximum number of allowed repeats.

SUMMER CAMPS

 

Junior High Summer Institute

Choose your college major! Join us for a summer of exploration and adventure.

For students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in Fall 2021.

 

Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs

 In this career exploration camp our expert instructors will guide you through a journey into the world of working with metal.

For students entering grades 9th - 12th in Fall 2021.

Professional Development

Through our partnership with ed2go, online fundamental courses are

affordable, fun, fast, convenient, and lead by a expert instructors.  

 

Healthcare Fire Safety

The Online Healthcare Fire Safety meets the fire safety requirement for healthcare providers

working in hospitals located within the city of Los Angeles as well as Olive View Medical Center.

 

Global Navigation Satellite System

 The GNSS Certificate Program courses are 16 hours each and will be offered throughout the year. Students will be able to attend remotely using Zoom.

 

  Introduction to Voiceovers (Live One on One Video Chat)

Explore the voiceover industry with a professional working voice actor from Voices For All.

Introduction to Voiceovers will guide you as you learn about the differnet types of voiceovers and the tools you’ll need to find success.
