Rome Italy Summer 2019

June 3 to July 1, 2019

Cost: $2,965 per person
Arrive Rome: June 3, 2019
Depart Rome: July 1, 2019

Classes: HRMGT 102 Introduction to Tourism (3 units transferable to CSU) and ART 205 Landmarks of Art and Visual Culture (3 units transferable to CSU)

Accommodations: Double- and triple-occupancy rooms in shared student apartments located in Rome, Italy. Single-occupancy rooms available for additional fee.

Also Included: Transit pass for bus and metro provided for duration of trip, and one five-hour class in survival Italian upon arrival.

Note: Travel to and from Rome is the responsibility of the students and is not part of this package price.

Also included on the program is a one-day excursion to Ostia/Antica. Optional
excursions offered are a one-day excursion to Pompeii ($175), including
transportation and entry fees as well as a two-day/one-night excursion to an
Agriturismo (Italian farmhouse) ($325), including transport, guided lecture on
food tourism in Italy, one group meal, a food tasting/demonstration, entries
and accommodations in double/triple/ quad rooms in the Agriturismo. Both
optional excursions require a minimum of 15 participants. Excursions and visits
are chosen based on the academic curriculum and are subject to change.

Financial Aid: Gilman scholarships due March 7.
