Dean's Welcome

On behalf of the faculty and staff, we welcome you to the School of Kinesiology, Health and Wellness, Fitness and Athletics (KHWFA), and Recreation Management. Our School is made up of dedicated faculty, coaches, staff, students, and student-athletes.

Our kinesiology programs are designed to provide quality academic preparation for students in areas related to the study of human movement, especially as it supports the pursuit of lifelong physical activity and well-being. Specifically, Kinesiology offers programs in health & physical education, recreation, personal training, and pre-athletic training. These programs serve to prepare future leaders who will positively impact the health behaviors of individuals and of society through the education and promotion of life-sustaining and life-enhancing pursuits.

We are unique among the academic divisions in that we seek to engage every student on our campus in our physical activity programs; to achieve this goal we work hard to foster an inclusive and welcoming environment for the benefit of all. With 17 intercollegiate teams, extensive offerings in movement, fitness and health, and many youth camps, we conduct one of the broadest programs in Southern California.

We encourage you to visit our campus and explore the School of Kinesiology, Physical Education, & Athletics, and Recreation Management. We hope that you will contact us with any future questions.
