Dean's Welcome

Welcome to Public Safety!

Since COVID-19 started, the Public Safety programs, without missing a beat, has transformed its instructional operations to support student progress through their courses, completion of their programs, success in licensure exams, and job placement. This was possible through teamwork, persistence, the exceptional talents of everyone involved, and the College’s investment in state-of-the-art tools and technology to support changes in the delivery of instruction.

If you are looking for an exciting and rewarding career that allows you to help people, positively impact the community, and lead to opportunities to serve, look no further. Degrees/Certificates in Public Safety provide opportunities to work on the front line of taking care of the needs of our community as well as pursuing educational pathways to transfer institutions.

With a team of highly experienced faculty we are committed to providing outstanding courses and programs that prepare students for careers in public service areas, including Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Fire Technician, Administration of Justice, and Law Enforcement Technician.

These programs provide engaging learning in a variety of settings to prepare students for high demand, well-paying jobs, and serve as entry points for future degrees, career advancement and wage growth pathways. I encourage you to use the links to Career Trees, Program Mapper, and the programs’ pages to explore more opportunities. I also encourage you to speak with a counselor as soon as you can to get started on your path.

Best of luck in your educational endeavors.

Sincerely,
