Wanting to complete a degree in Sociology, Social Justice Studies, or Social Science?

Are you planning to transfer? 

If not, then complete the AA degree in Sociology or Social Science-check two places for information on this:

2. The Counseling website GE requirements for the AA page

If you are planning to transfer, then complete the AA-T in Sociology or the AA-T in Social Justice Studies. Decide if you plan to transfer to a CSU campus or a UC campus (if you plan to transfer to a private or out of state school, see a counselor now)-check two places for information on this:

2. The Counseling website GE requirements for the CSU page or the Counseling website GE requirements for IGETC page

Even if you are not a Sociology major you can take up to two sociology classes to meet the Social Science GE requirements for the AA and AA-T degrees.  Many of the Sociology Courses also meet the diversity requirement of the Associate’s Degree at COC.
