Theatre Arts AA Degree


The Theatre program at College of the Canyons is designed to provide students with the lower-division major preparation for transfer to a four-year university with a major in Theatre. (20.5-21 units of major preparation, plus Associate Degree requirements)

Upon successful completion, a student will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate performance techniques and proficiency in one or more technical area.
  2. Demonstrate application of performance skills appropriate for lower-division.
  3. Analyze and interpret dramatic literature and performance from a standpoint of a designer, performer, director, playwright or critic.
  4. Demonstrate effective collaboration as a member of a production team in the preparation and realization of a public performance.
