Holiday Show at Performing Arts Center

For the first time since the start of the pandemic, the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) will open its doors for a live concert performance. Mat and Savanna Shaw will take the stage for their special holiday show "The Joy of Christmas" at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11.

Santa Clarita native Mat Shaw and his daughter Savanna rose to prominence during the pandemic, quickly becoming YouTube sensations across the globe when their harmonious duets released on social media and streaming platforms went viral.

The Shaws quickly garnered a following of over a half million YouTube subscribers and released their first album "Picture This" in October 2020, which debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Pop Chart and on multiple billboard charts.

"As we bring live performances back to our community, we are delighted to feature artists who have persevered and brought joy to so many during this unprecedented time," said Jennifer Smolos, PAC artistic director and dean of the School of Visual & Performing Arts. "Mat and Savanna's uplifting song choices and harmonies continue to inspire people all over the world and we are proud to welcome them to the PAC this December."

The father-daughter duo have released three albums during the pandemic, all of which have debuted at the top of iTunes, Amazon, and Billboard charts worldwide. An additional album is set to be released in December 2021.

"It has been thrilling to watch different parts of campus life resume in-person activities and we are very excited about the PAC being filled with music once again," said College of the Canyons Chancellor Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook. "How fitting it is to welcome back audiences to the PAC with a performance from a father-daughter duo with ties to the Santa Clarita Valley who inspire and uplift others with their joyful music."

Tickets for "Mat and Savanna Shaw: The Joy of Christmas" will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Nov. 5. 2021.

Ticket prices for this family-friendly show will range from $20 to $55.
