April Alvarez has been teaching in the preschool setting since 2003. She has a Bachelors degree
in Child Care Administration and a Masters degree in Family and Consumer Sciences
from California State University Northridge. All the classrooms that she has been
a teacher in have been inclusion. She has experience working with children who have
a variety of special needs For five years of her teaching experience she worked with
the children and their families as well as taught college students how to plan and
implement activities in the classroom, write developmental assessments, and write
parent conferences. She strongly believes in the developmental approach when it comes
to working with children. She knows that every child grows at their own pace and it
is very exciting to see when they discover a new skill.
