Soprano Erica Davis has bachelors degrees from Princeton University and the Boston Conservatory (summa cum laude), and a masters degree in vocal arts from the University of Southern California.

Vocal instruction is Ms. Davis' true passion. She began teaching in school at the Boston Conservatory and USC. Since then, she has been a voice teacher at the Odyssey Theater Ensemble and Vibe Performing Arts Studio. She currently teaches two voice classes: Voice Development at COC and a private advanced class called Workshop for Emerging Vocal Artists. Her reputation as a private teacher is growing quickly as she expands her studio in Santa Clarita. Ms. Davis is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.

As a performer, Ms. Davis has wide experience in diverse areas. Her opera roles include the Queen of the Night in Mozarts The Magic Flute. She has sung opera at USC, Opera in the Ozarks, the Pasadena Lyric Opera, and Operworks. As an oratorio soloist, she has sung soprano roles throughout southern California. Recent performances include Handels Messiah, Bachs Cantata 80, and Brittens The Company of Heaven. The song recital is among Ms. Davis' favorite art forms. She is known for her sparkling interpretations and engaging performances. She has sung recitals throughout the country and enjoys bringing her art to her students at COC. Ms. Davis has satisfied her love of chamber music with her all-female vocal quartet Convivia. The quartet has enjoyed a substantial following in the area, and its first CD has been well received. Ms. Davis has participated in several elite choirs, including the Dallas Symphony Chorus and the Pacific Chorale. She is part of a professional choir that sings every year for High Holidays at Stephen S. Wise Temple.

Ms. Davis teaches Musicianship Skills I-IV and Music Appreciation.
