Laurisa Reyes earned her B.A. and M.A. in English at Cal State Northridge. Prior to teaching at College of the Canyons, she spent more than twenty years as a freelance writer, newspaper columnist, and book & magazine editor. She is the award-winning author of sixteen published books and is the Senior Editor of Skyrocket Press. However, her greatest accomplishment is being Mom to her five kids, four of whom are former C.O.C. students.
