Tony Sandoval holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), a B.A. in Chican@ Studies from UCLA and an M.A. in Chican@ Studies from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Professor Sandoval is a product of the community college system and enjoys sharing insight with community college students as to how to successfully transfer and thrive at a four-year university or private college. His research interests include health, race, ethnicity, the global economy and free market system, critical pedagogy, immigration, herstory/history, indigenous American languages, performance poetry, and culture.
