    The Village

    The BaNC partners with The Village (a Non-Profit Organization) to offer the Campus Peer Navigator Program 

    • Connecting students with community resources 
    • Improving linkages and referrals between college students and homeless services providers across Los Angeles County

    CA COVID-19 Rent Relief 

    • Eligible households who need financial assistance for unpaid rent and utilities can now apply for help through the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program. Those who have experienced a financial hardship due to COVID-19, have past due rent or utilities, and have a household income that is not more than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), may be eligible to receive help to pay past due or future rent and utilities from the state of California. Landlords and renters can now verify eligibility by visiting, or by calling 833-430-2122, and if eligible, apply.


    The initial housing stay is offered for a year, and can be extended if the student has more semesters to complete their program. Housing is privately owned houses, which Shower of Hope leases in order to house college students. Houses are typically four-bedroom houses with two students sharing each bedroom with their own bed and desk. All housing, food, WiFi and utility expenses are paid for by Shower of Hope. The student will not have any out-of-pocket expenses related to living in the house.

    3. Zoom – If the student and Shower of Hope decide to continue the process, a Zoom meeting is held.
    4. House Site Visit – after the initial phone conversation and Zoom meeting, the student will be invited to visit the house location for a tour so they can see what the house and room looks like.

    1. Complete online form
    2. In the Donation Designation section of the online form, select "Other" in the drop-down box on the "Direct My Donations To" line
    3. Type "BaNC" in the box on the "Other Donation" line

     COC Employee Payroll Deduction Instructions

  • NOTE: The BaNC is currently closed to in-person services on both the Valencia and Canyon Country campuses.
