ASG Events

On this page, you'll be able to find information regarding upcoming ASG Events as well as recordings of past events.

Upcoming Events:

Monday, March 7, 11am-12pm - STCN 128/129

To celebrate the month, we will have a few of our female faculty speak about their experiences as a woman throughout their careers and what it was like to gain their positions! We will also provide clay for students to use. Why clay? Women throughout history were constantly told to fit the mold of being a caretaker, oftentimes making it difficult to step out of societal boundaries and pursue their aspirations.

We want students to use the clay as a way for them to visualize what they want in their lives (whether that be a career, a characteristic within themselves, an item, etc.). They would be RE-gaining their power and taking control of their lives, as we have seen various women throughout history demonstrate in their inspirational stories!

Monday, March 14, 11am - 12pm - Flag Pole / Valencia Campus

Since the beginning of the pandemic, students have had limited interactions in person due to remote learning. We want to help encourage interaction among students. What better way then a friendly game of speed dating, but friendship edition. This will be a two part event. There will be a form that people will fill out online prior to the event. People will be matched with others based on similar interests. There will be tables set-out where students can sit and chat. There will be three rotations where people will have 15 minutes to chat with their group. At the end, participants will be given a goody bag filled with candy bars, chips, and water. The goal for this event is for students to meet new people and create new bonds.

Monday, March 14, 2pm - 3pm
