Guest Information

Information for guests attending the Commencement ceremony

• Guest Participation

  Each graduate may bring up to six guests.  Guests must respect the graduates, college personnel, and abide by the event guidelines.

  Guests must remain seated in the designated guest area and keep aisles clear.

  Crowding the fencing surrounding the guest seating area or stage is not permitted.

  Air horns, confetti cannons, and other disruptive noisemakers are not allowed.

  Outside food and drink is not allowed, except unopened bottle water.

  Failure to follow these guidelines may result in removal from the ceremony.

   
• Campus Safety & Security

  Additional security personnel will be present before, during, and after the ceremony to assist with crowd control.  Guests must abide by all event guidelines, including keeping walkways and aisles clear.

• Parking

  All parking will be provided free on Commencement Day except in staff-designated lots and lot 12. Graduates or guests parking in staff lots may be ticketed by Campus Safety.  Due to potential traffic congestion, plan to arrive early.
