Prior to Commencement Information
A.A./A.S./AA-T/Certificate of Achievement candidates should make a special effort to check their student copy of the graduation petition submitted with Counseling. A copy should have been provided for personal records and reference. It is important to check for correct degree(s), major(s), certificate(s) and spelling of the name, and to update Admissions and Records should any changes be needed. Any updates for name change only should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with the necessary changes. If there are questions concerning any degree or certificate programs or requirements, please email counseling at email@example.com. All changes must be made by May 5, 2021 in order for your name and certificate to be in the official Commencement Program.
In order to receive an honor cord, graduating students must have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or greater in cumulative degree applicable units from all regionally-accredited colleges attended prior to the Spring 2021 semester while attending College of the Canyons. This year, a curbside event will take place for those who have met the eligibility requirements.
Grad Walk Reservations
In order to accommodate all of the graduates, several Grad Walks have been scheduled during June 2-5, 2021. Advanced reservations are required for both graduates and their guests. Graduates may select any available Grad Walk timeslot. Please note there are a limited amount of graduates that may sign up for each timeslot. Graduates and guests will not be permitted to participate in the Grad Walk if they either show up for a different timeslot than they have signed up for or if they show up past their designated timeslot. Please note that participation is limited to graduates and guests who are currently living in the State of California. Out of state graduates and guests will not be permitted.

The deadline to RSVP for Grad Walk is Friday, May 21, 2021 by 11:59pm. No late reservations will be accepted.
