WEE Orientation / Video

In order to register for a Work Experience (WE) course at College of the Canyons (COC), you must view and complete the WE Online Orientation. Allow yourself about 15 minutes to view the video and complete the required forms.

At the conclusion of the orientation video, you will submit a Voluntary Activity Waiver and Work Experience Orientation Completion form which initiates an email to the Internship Office. Once Internship staff receives the emails, and you complete the other required forms, they will adjust your student record permitting you to register in a specific WE course (WE-186 or WE-189). The online orientation fully explains the process. To expedite the matter, you should have access to a printer, a scanner and email.

You will need your seven-digit student ID#; you can find your student ID# on "MyCanyons". If you are not a COC student, you may apply to College of the Canyons through to the Admissions and Records (A&R) website. For assistance regarding your college application, student ID, or your MyCanyons account, you can reach the A&R staff at (661) 362-3281.

Please note: Students must have a job or internship in place in order to participate in the WE course. It is the students’ responsibility to secure a job or internship.

For assistance with searching for an internship, students can make an appointment with a College of the Canyons Employment Center Job Developer. They can also assist students with a resume, cover letter, interview preparation, LinkedIn profile and more.
