Scrotum

The scrotum is part of the external male genitalia, and consists of a small muscular pouch in which the testicles reside. After internal maturation, the testes will descend into the external scrotum so that sperm is produced and stored in an environment that is cooler than the body's internal 37 degrees Celsius.
