Anna Glapa-Grossklag

Adjunct Instructor of German

I have always been interested in language. I remember spending hours looking for the right word and arguing with people about what they had said. Today, my two sons (9 and 12) are returning the favor to me; they never cease to use every opportunity to prove to me how wrong I am. I started teaching at COC in 1999. Before that, I had lived in Poland and Germany and I'd earned an MA in German language, history, literature, and culture. Also, I had taught German and Polish, translated and interpreted. I met my American husband in Germany in 1991 and we have been together ever since. We moved to America in 1998. Shortly after, I earned an MA in Linguistics and Teaching English as a Second Language. I have worked part-time at almost all colleges in LA county, teaching German, ESL, and Linguistics.
