Lucia Pozo
Associate Professor of Spanish, Peru
Lucía Pozo was born and raised in Arequipa, Peru where she attended the Catholic University of Peru and earned a Bachelor and Licensure degree in Social work - she graduated with honors.
Here in the U.S, she earned a Masters degree in Spanish Language and Literature at California State University Northridge. Before Luca was hired at COC, she worked for 11 years at Antelope Valley College as a Spanish professor. Luca is an experienced and enthusiastic instructor, who is delighted to share her language and culture with her students, and inspire them to learn and love Spanish. Luca has traveled extensively thought out Latin America and she enjoys sharing her travel experiences with her students. Her academic interests are: Latin American literature, Spanish cinema, indigenous cultures and development of society in Latin America.
