CULARTS-055 - Culinary Safety & Sanitation - David Schutz

Course:Culinary Safety & Sanitation
Professor:David Schutz
  • Online
Course Length:5 week
Textbook Title:SERVSAFE Manager – 7th Edition
Types of Assessments:This online course will be much like a face-to-face course, it takes a significant time commitment from you. In addition to the weekly class lectures conducted on ZOOM, I suggest allocating approximately 10 hours per week to complete various reading assignments and quizzes. Sometimes you will be working in groups and other times individually. You will have weekly assignments, online discussion groups, online lectures, quizzes and tests. You are responsible for the material and will be tested on your understanding of them. This course is designed to include collaborative learning. It is impossible to participate in a discussion or group project after the fact. Please do not wait until the last minute to complete your work. The unit module is available at the beginning of the week and you should start immediately. Education code requires faculty to drop no-show students. In this online class we don’t meet therefore failure to participate in the online classroom in the first week will result in your being dropped from the course.
