Students enrolled in a COC class and required to take in-person exams who live out of the area may request to take their exam at an alternate location upon instructor approval. Please allow 7-10 business days after submitting the initial request.

How to Arrange Taking a COC Exam at an Alternate Location:

  1. Students are responsible for requesting their instructor's approval to take an exam at another location. Instructors must forward their approval to TLCTestingCenter@canyons.edu.
  2. Students must then find an appropriate proctoring location. The location must be another college, university, public library, or verified testing center. Test proctors must have a verified institutional email address, which cannot be a Gmail, AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. email address.
  3. Once this information has been collected, students must email it to TLCTestingCenter@canyons.edu in the following format:
  • Students name:
  • Student's phone number:
  • Instructor's name:
  • Class and section number:
  • The number of exams proctored at this location:
  • Name and number of each exam (i.e., Exam 1-4):
  • Proctor's name:
  • Proctor's email address:
  • Proctor's phone number:
  • Proctor's fax number (if applicable):
  • Testing Location's name:
  • Testing Location's address:
  1. TLC Testing Staff will then begin verifying the requested location and proctor. If they meet the listed standards, they will be contacted about the proctoring process. Then, it is the Student's responsibility to set up a proctoring time and date for the location they requested.
