Sabbatical Projects

Sabbaticals projects are an opportunity for faculty to submit work that will be edifying to "instruction" in some way (department level or broader). This larger work will then be made available for larger consumption for campus community. Sabbaticals are approved based on the criterion detailed in the COCFA contract. Requirements for Sabbatical Report and Submission outlined in the COCFA Contract.

There are two types of sabbaticals available:

  1. Formal course work
  2. Independent study programs.

The unit member will first submit a Sabbatical Application Request. The unit member will then submit a professional Sabbatical Report electronically to the Sabbatical Leave Committee within eight weeks of the start of the fall or spring semester immediately following the Sabbatical leave. The Sabbatical Leave Committee will review the Sabbatical Report to ensure that the Sabbatical Report requirements are met.
