Curriculum Academy

The curriculum is the major statement any institution makes about itself and is the heart of the college’s mission. According to the California Community College League, California community college faculty are entrusted not only with the responsibility of developing high-quality curriculum, but also with the professional responsibility for establishing local curriculum approval processes and ensuring that local curriculum approval processes allow curriculum to be approved in a timely manner. The Curriculum Committee at COC, chaired by Lisa Hooper, plays a vital role in fostering  the development of new curricula, as well as reviewing revisions of existing curricula.

But you may be wondering how YOU can learn to write, submit and revise curriculum yourself?   Well, help is here!  Curriculum chair Lisa Hooper will be presenting a 3-part Curriculum Academy this fall to walk you through the process of writing and submitting curriculum and revising current curriculum.  These sessions will take place on the following dates and times.  Please pre-register online at https://app.frontlineeducation.com.
