Full-Time Faculty, Counselor

Connie Perez has been working in higher education for 34 years.  She worked at UCLA, CSUN and COC since 2007. She enjoys working with reentry students and dedicates her efforts in making sure these students have all the necessary tools to succeed in college. She assists students in understanding the educational process, helps develop student educational plans, and teaches students to be self-reliant and active in their educational journey. Her teaching philosophy is that every student has the potential to learn and succeed. She teaches Counseling 100 that was designed for Adult Reentry students. Her favorite thing to see is hearing from students how much they learned about themselves and how the strategies they learn not only apply to college, but to life outside school.
