  • Late to class or appointment
  • Disagreement with, or inability to pay the parking penalty

Appeals based solely on these reasons will not be considered.

How to Request a Hearing

If you are requesting a hearing review, you must do so through the campus safety office within 21 days of receiving your appeals outcome. Prior to your hearing you must pay a retainer fee which will be applied to the citation if it is upheld. If your citation is dismissed you will be refunded the retainer fee within two weeks from Santa Clarita Community College District. Appointments are then scheduled with the hearing officer who is an independent outside contactor not affiliated with the college. You may meet with the hearing officer in person or send additional information in writing for his review at the time of your appointment.

Ticket Payment Waiver

Payment Waiver may be available to you if your appeal has been upheld and you wish to request a hearing but are unable to pay the required fine(s). If you are subsequently found liable at the hearing, you must pay the total amount of the parking citation plus any delinquency fees.

Instructions

Request a Fee Waiver form. You must supply the College with satisfactory proof of your inability to pay the amount due by submitting their requested documentation. Note: The documents that you submit will not be returned to you. Please only send copies and keep a full set of originals for your files. This information must be submitted within 21 days of the date of your review letter. If your proof is accepted, a hearing will be scheduled and you will be notified.
