Welcome to the Biological & Environmental Sciences department. I would like to invite you to learn more about our exciting and comprehensive Biology and Environmental programs by browsing our web site. Whether you are a Biology major, an Environmental Sciences and Environmental Studies major, completing pre-nursing requirements, or a non-major interested in exploring science, we have what you need to succeed.

Biology and Environmental Sciences are dynamic and exciting fields and students in our department have access to a team of engaging professors with expertise ranging from the molecular scale to ecosystems. Faculty in the Biological & Environmental Sciences department take pride in providing excellent opportunities for learning inside and outside the classroom to help you achieve your academic and professional goals. Our diverse curriculum of over 20 courses, offers students the opportunity to build the scientific knowledge needed to address challenges of the future, from human health to health of the environment. Our campus has an active study-abroad program, an international student program, a biodiversity research initiative, and an NSF funded, S-STEM scholar program which provide opportunities to engage with students from around the world and to conduct independent field and bench research as part of your learning experience.
