Course Description: Equips faculty with strategies and tools to create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters comprehensive internationalization, cross-cultural dialogue, and inclusivity, in order to amplify a wider range of voices. An emphasis on crafting assessments, lectures and other classroom activities to create an inclusive and authentic teaching experience.

Intro to Online Instruction

Course Description: Explores the application of learning theories for online learners; differences between face-to-face and online learning; resources for online teaching and learning; course management systems and online learning tools; and best practices for online learning. The class is designed so that participants will experience the components of an online course from both student and instructor perspectives. This course is a total of 36 hours. Participants would need to first complete the 4 hour self-paced Canvas class to prepare for IOI.

Course Description: Develops inclusivity through co-teaching and pedagogical documentation exercises. Emphasis is placed on developing cultural competency in areas such as race, class, and culture; and learning strategies for creating classrooms that are culturally inviting to all. This course is designed for students and faculty preparing for and maintaining a career in education. Emphasis is placed on developing the knowledge and skills necessary for success as an educator.

Course Description: Develop effective instructional skills to support the diverse needs of community college students in OnlineLIVE and HyFlex classes. Students will engage with content and complete assignments in a scaffolded learning environment.
