The Circle of Friends is a group dedicated to supporting the goals of the Centers
for Early Childhood Education at the College of the Canyons campuses. The center provides
a broad educational and creative learning environment that encourages social, emotional,
intellectual and physical growth and development of young children. It has been ded
icated to high-quality care and education since 1982.
Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and equipment, the center serves as a laboratory to provide college students with a practicum working directly with master teachers. The center's developmental program, with an emphasis on the "Developmentally Appropriate" approach to learning, is accredited by the National Association of Early Childhood Programs.
With the cost of materials and services soaring, the center has been fortunate to receive augmented support from the Circle of Friends. This support helps maintain the safety of the physical environment and provides the highest quality of learning materials and equipment for the children's classrooms and play yards.
