  • You may choose to pursue your teaching credential combined with the Master of Education: Special Emphasis degree. You will have an academic advisor who will help you plan out your program sequence.

    Students who have completed a bachelor’s degree program may complete the requirements for the Multiple Subject or Single Subject Teaching Credential as part of their Master of Education Special Emphasis program.

    • Application: Apply online at www.laverne.edu/apply. Application fee is $50. (If you attend an info session, the fee is waived.) Application deadlines: one week prior to the start of each term.
    •  Financial Aid: Submit the FAFSA online www.fafsa.gov
    •  Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with 2.8 or above GPA
    • Statement of purpose
    •  Writing Competency Assessment
    •  Current TB Clearance with the past 2 years
    •  Current fingerprint clearance/Live Scan with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
    • CBEST Passage required
