Learn law enforcement leadership for the 21st century by earning National University’s Master of Criminal Justice in as soon as 12 months. This engaging program integrates theory with practice to prepare you for today’s complex criminal justice issues.Graduates are prepared for challenging and demanding careers in local, state, and federal law enforcement management, correctional administration, security administration, criminal justice research, and teaching or training assignments.
Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Evaluate the managerial practices that have shaped the criminal justice professions
- Analyze court decisions involving police or criminal justice agencies in terms of criminal sanctions.
- Analyze issues of police morale, motivation, retention, selection, and recruitment
- Evaluate and determine what should be the consequences of unethical conduct by police officers
- Evaluate and compare the American criminal justice system with other criminal justice systems
- Evaluate disciplinary, theoretical, criminological, and philosophical foundations in the management of criminal justice
- Develop oral, written, and technological communication for criminal justice professionals
- Utilize critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify quality scholarship and research in the field of criminal justice

Bachelor’s Degree with a 2.5 cumulative GPA from a regionally accredited institution.

Students must submit official transcripts to verify Bachelor’s Degree and cumulative GPA.
Cost
$322.50 per quarter unit including the 25% COC tuition scholarship.

Format Accelerated One Course Per Month (4-Week Courses); Courses meeting 1 night per week
and 1 Saturday per month (5 onsite meetings per month) at COC/UCEN.
Scholarships COC Tuition Scholarship: 25% scholarship per class, per month; Students save $468
per class by taking NU classes onsite at the COC/UCEN location
Units 54 quarter units are required to earn the Master’s degree
