Supporting AANHPI Mentorship & Achievement (SAMA) Alliance
The Supporting AANHPI Mentorship & Achievement (SAMA) Alliance is an affinity group for AANHPl-identifying students and allies to connect, learn, and grow together. Housed in the Intercultural Center (ICC), SAMA Alliance is open to all students on campus and a dedicated space to address issues in a safe and culturally responsive environment of support.
The word "sama" represents togetherness and collective support across many cultures throughout Asia and the Pacific Islands, reflecting our commitment to empowering one another and fostering a strong sense of belonging.

SAMA Alliance is open to all students interested in learning more about AANHPI culture and raising awareness on topics in a culturally responsive environment of support. SAMA Alliance serves as a space for students to learn allyship and find community, support, and belonging at COC.
AANHPI SAP is a state-funded program that focuses on supporting low-income, first-generation AANHPI students, and/or other underserved and underrepresented communities achieve their educational goals.
