Welcome

Welcome to the Department of Earth and Space Sciences (ESS), which encompasses the disciplines of Astronomy, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Geology, Oceanography, and Physical Science. We offer a full spectrum of lower division undergraduate courses that fulfill the transfer, economic and workforce development needs of our students. The instructional program is supported by five full-time faculty as well as approximately fifteen part-time faculty members. Lab classes may or may not be combined with lecture depending on the discipline. Refer to the catalog for a description of courses offered.
