Welcome to our class. My name is Professor Chung. I look forward to working with you this semester at College of the Canyons.
The course will be available on COC’s Canvas course management system at 7:00 AM beginning on the first day of the course.
You must log in and post to the Roll Call Discussion Board by the listed deadline, otherwise, you will be dropped from this course.
This course focuses on fundamental concepts of modern advertising in the current business environment while using specialized techniques to create and promote an advertising campaign. Topics include, the role of advertising, its relation to the marketing mix, psychological and socio-cultural influences on consumer buying behavior, advertising research and strategy, target market analysis, the global marketing environment, electronic advertising, media selection, ethics, creative advertising message design, and integrated marketing. Emphasizes planning an advertising campaign and communicating ideas using advertising techniques.
What to Expect in this Course
You will be expected to read the chapter(s) prior to the week of the discussion and assignments for the specific chapter(s). You will be required to participate on a weekly basis

There will be two exams for this class consisting of multiple-choice questions to be held online within Canvas.

Veterans Resource Center
