Introduction

This class will feature both OnlineLIVE and ONLINE deliveries. The OnlineLIVE will be conducted via Canvas/ConferZoom during scheduled times. The remainder of the class will be ONLINE. 

Course Description

Examines the principles and practices of public speaking, communication theory, and techniques for public speaking. Includes speech organization, development, research, audience analysis, reasoning, and presentation skills for the development of informative and persuasive speeches. 

What to Expect in this Course

Students will need a reliable internet connection and a camera (computer, phone, etc.) for delivering speeches and possible class discussion.  Because this is a 5-week class, the amount of work in the course is significant, as it is an accelerated course.

Canvas

This course can be accessed on the first day of class via Canvas at https://coc.instructure.com. Log into Canvas using your CanyonsID single sign-on:
