Introduction

Albert Loaiza

This is a 100% Online course that will not require specific meeting times. However, I will be available through the ZOOM platform for office hours, and occasional class gatherings if needed. COUNS 150 is designed to help the student succeed in college along with other aspects in life. Throughout this course you will be asked to complete readings, assessments, assignments, projects, and/or discussions to help navigate through these topics; personal growth, critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving and academic success. COUNS 150 allows for the process of self-discovery to take place and allows for the building of self-awareness, self-responsibility, and self-empowerment.

Course Description

Designed to integrate personal growth, critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving and academic success. The course introduces the student to the benefits of higher education, educational planning, goal setting and career choices. The student is guided through the process of self-discovery which emphasizes the importance of self-awareness, self-responsibility and self-empowerment.

What to Expect in this Course
