Hi and Welcome to Pastry Art. My name is Cindy Schwanke and I will be your Chef Instructor for the Pastry Art class. I have worked here at COC for 14 years and have many years of experience in the pastry world. I am excited for you to continue on your Pastry journey at ICUE.
This class will be making and plating desserts for our Cafe II class which will serve dinner to the community.
We will discover a variety of plating styles and preparing some delicious desserts.
What to Expect in this Course
This class is all about creativity and exploring different flavor combinations. There is minimal homework and quizzes but some research and ideas need to be accomplished each week. Teamwork is very important in this class.
Types of Assessments
Canvas will be used for quizzes and homework assigned. You will be graded each week on your plated dessert.

No new textbook required. We use the On Baking book 4th edition.
This course can be accessed on the first day of class via Canvas at https://coc.instructure.com. Log into Canvas using your CanyonsID single sign-on:
