My name is Wendy Hassenpflug and I have been teaching in the dance department at College of the Canyons since 2006.
Introduction to Yoga is for everyone and a great compliment to both sedentary and active lifestyles. Yoga is the journey of the self.
Introduces students to the beginning practice of yoga. Students learn the practice of yoga postures (Asana) to aid in the improvement of concentration, physical endurance, flexibility, alignment and balance. The course integrates basic breathing and meditation techniques to enhance the mind-body connection and reduce stress.
What to Expect in this Course
This is a physical activity class with mini lectures and discussions. There will be a practical and written final.
