Hello my name is Professor Jeanae Ruddell (PR)...I look forward to working with you and sharing my love for Women Health. Being a registered Nurse, I have traveled and worked with different levels of organizations in America and overseas- mostly non-profit with the emphasis of helping children/youth/women. My love for working with some diverse & underprivileged populated groups all over the world needs to be shared in this class.

Course Description

In this Women and Health class, we will discover past and current issues with women’s health. This will include anatomy, mental health, sexual health, domestic violence, menopause, and women in the health profession. We will discuss in various group discussions the complex and multifaceted area of healthcare. This includes looking at the biological factors of women from reproductive health, body structure, and hormones; we will also discuss topics that affect women’s health such as cancer, heart health, birth control, reproductive and sexual health, mental health, and sexually transmitted diseases. Women’s health is so important, and this class will help you find evidence-based facts in relationship to women’s health. We will also be touching on a few topics with men's health in class as well.
