Hello everyone, welcome to American Sports In Film Online.  My name is Chad Peters, in addition to teaching classes like this, I serve as the school's Athletic Director. I really enjoy this class, we watch some great movies and discuss how athletics and American culture and society are intertwined.   

Course Description

Examines American sports history, the portrayal of sport, and the contributions made by members representing various gender, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds as depicted through sports related films.

What to Expect in this Course

The movies are all available on either Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon.  If you do not have one of these services you check out the movies from the TLC at the Valencia Campus. 

Types of Assessments

Each week there will be written assessments as well as discussion boards.   There will also be a term paper based on "OJ Made in America"
