Introduction
Hello and Welcome to the course! I am very excited that you are taking this course to sharpen your professional skills and I am thrilled to share in your personal and professional development journey.
This is an 8-hour course. Be sure to post to the first discussion board by the deadline in order to stay enrolled in the course.
Course Description
Identify and utilize the technological tools needed to build a professional online presence. Develop the skills needed to become more comfortable with the technology being used for researching, collaborating, and communicating online.
What to Expect in this Course
This is an 8-hour course, however, it will be open for a one or two-week period to allow students to work at their own pace.
The course consists of online discussions and assignments based on the learning materials.
Types of Assessments
This class is offered as noncredit. All noncredit courses are graded as Pass (P) or No Pass (NP). Grade Breakdown:
• Pass (P) = 80 - 100%
• No Pass (NP) = Less than 80%

Other Relevant Course Information
This course is one of two courses and is part of the Fundamentals of Communication Certificate. Earners of this certificate have demonstrated the fundamental principles of workplace communication, including effective listening, rapport building, and persuasive communication strategies for leadership. They have also identified and utilized technological tools to build a professional online presence and collaborate with others online and in person. Earners have gained a deeper understanding of navigating workplace communication challenges to create more positive outcomes.
