My name is Maral Markarian. I am you instructor for the CAWT 132 - Medical Office Finances course. 

This course uses Canvas and Connect for all activities. Please log into Canvas before the end of the first day of class and post your presence to the attendance forum. Further instructions about the course will be outlined in the Modules section of Canvas. Read all the information posted in Modules in Canvas.

Course Description

This course examines the various financial methods used in medical offices and hospitals for a variety of duties. This course uses the latest medical management software program to perform such tasks as posting patient account entries, printing daily reports, managing office files, and billing routines such as outpatient coding and billing.

What to Expect in this Course

This course requires considerable time commitment and organization. Although you may set your own hours, students must stay active in the course and communicate regularly with peers and instructor. Students should also check their student e-mails and announcement in Canvas regularly. 

All students must activate their CanyonsID and access Canvas through CanyonsID. (Instructions to activate CanyonsID)

Types of Assessments

All assignments and exams will be done in Connect. There are no assignments to be submitted through Canvas.
