Introduction

My name is Ryan Seymour, and I will be your instructor for Print Reading for Welders and Fabricators.

In the world of manufacturing, drawings and prints are essential tools used to communicate information from designers and engineers to the individuals responsible for creating the final product. Being able to accurately read and interpret these documents is a critical skill for anyone pursuing a career in welding or manufacturing.

On a personal note, I’m a proud graduate of the College of the Canyons welding program. Looking back, this was one of the classes I’m most grateful to have taken. Understanding how to read drawings not only helped me in the field but also made it much easier when I began designing my own parts for production.

I look forward to helping you build a strong foundation in this important area and supporting your journey into the trades.
