What to Expect in this Course
Some tips from the instructor-
Online courses require a student that is disciplined to keep to the course schedule
and deadline requirements. If you are the type of student that procrastinates and
waits until the night before an assignment is due, I highly encourage you to not do
this with online courses. Inevitability with dealing with technology, there are
going to be issues. Computers break, internet connections go out, power fails,
programs become corrupt, data files become lost, etc. If students wait until the
last minute to meet online class deadlines, the outcome may mean a missed
deadline! Please don’t let this happen to you! Preplan! Finish BEFORE the
“night before a deadline.” Make sure your data is backed up in multiple
locations. Preplanning is an important issue in the fire service as a whole, so
undertaking your own preplanning for any online course is a great habit to get
into!
