• College Assistant Description of Level of Duties (Effective January 1, 2024)

  Classification	Description of Level of Duties
  College Assistant I $16.00	Entry-level work. Provides basic support and assistance. Performs basic and some specialized tasks and duties under direct supervision. Some knowledge, skills, training and/or experience may be required. College Assistants aiding in labs and classes must have, or be enrolled in, some college coursework in the discipline where the work will be conducted.
  College Assistant II $16.75	Provides support and assistance in a somewhat advanced capacity that requires specialized knowledge, skills training and/or college experience. Performs specialized tasks and duties with indirect supervision. College Assistants aiding in labs and classes must have completed some college coursework in the discipline where the work will be conducted.
  College Assistant Ill $17.75	Provides support and assistance in an advanced capacity that requires specialized knowledge, skills training and/or college experience. Performs specialized tasks and duties with minimal supervision. College Assistants aiding in labs and classes must have completed some college coursework in the discipline where the work will be conducted.
  College Assistant IV $18.75	Provides support and assistance in a highly advanced or technical capacity. Performs specialized functions that require a concentration of knowledge, skills training and/or experience for that specific area with minimal supervision. College Assistants aiding in labs and classes must have completed some college coursework in the discipline where the work will be conducted.
  College Assistant V $21.00	Provides professional and specialized level type of work in an office, department or classroom. Coordinates with the supervisor to perform work with a high degree of difficulty that requires professional expertise or skills. College Assistants aiding in labs and classes must have substantial college coursework in the discipline where the work will be conducted.
  College Assistant VI $23.50	Provides professional and specialized level type of work in an office, department or classroom. Provides guidance and assistance to other less skilled in the work. Coordinates with the supervisor to perform work with a higher degree of difficulty that requires professional expertise or skills. May require certifications and/or licenses. College Assistants aiding in labs and classes must have substantial college coursework in the discipline where the work will be conducted.
  College Assitant VII $26.25	Provides highly professional and specialized level type of work in an office, department or classroom. Provides guidance and assistance to other less skilled in the work. Coordinates with the supervisor to perform work with a higher degree of difficulty that requires professional expertise or skills. May require certifications and/or licenses. College Assistants aiding in labs and classes must have substantial college coursework in the discipline where the work will be conducted.
