Verification FAQ

College of the Canyons has partnered with and authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide degree and enrollment verifications. Enrollment verifications are available for students at no cost through the National Student Clearinghouse online self-service product.

Using Student Self-Service, students may print enrollment verification certificates, view their enrollment history, and view real time student loan information including deferments. To access Student Self-Service and obtain an enrollment verification, log in to My Canyons and click on Enrollment Verification under the Student Services menu. Students may also go directly to the National Student Clearinghouse My Hub to make the enrollment or degree verification request.

Employers and entities acting on behalf of the student to obtain a degree or enrollment verification for employment purposes, etc., must request a verification through and will be required to pay a nominal fee.

Continuing Education (non credit) enrollment verifications must be requested at the Continuing Education office on the Valencia campus, in Canyons Hall, (CHCS) - 167.
1. Log on to My Canyons to request an enrollment verification.


2. Request your verification at the Admissions & Records counter during normal business hours.

Students are classified as specified below for enrollment verification purposes.

Full time

3/4 time

1/2 time

1/4 time



Enrolled in 12.0 or more units.

Enrolled in 9.0 - 11.9 units.

Enrolled in 6.0 - 8.9 units.

Enrolled in 3.0 - 5.9 units.

A student who has completed 30.0 units or less.

A student who has completed 31.0 units or more.
